Walk-in Chiller / Cold Room – New Compressor Installation Benz Engineering Limited successfully completed the installation of a new refrigeration compressor for a walk-in chiller/cold room refrigeration system. The project was undertaken to restore reliable cooling performance, improve energy efficiency, and ensure uninterrupted cold storage operations. The scope of work included the safe isolation of the refrigeration system, removal and disposal of the failed compressor, installation of a new compressor, replacement of associated refrigeration components where required, brazing of refrigerant pipework, pressure testing with nitrogen, system evacuation to achieve the required vacuum level, refrigerant charging to manufacturer specifications, electrical wiring and control verification, and comprehensive leak detection. Following installation, the refrigeration system was commissioned through operational testing, including verification of suction and discharge pressures, compressor current draw, temperature performance, thermostat operation, and overall system stability. Final inspections confirmed that the walk-in cooler was operating efficiently, maintaining the required storage temperature, and providing reliable performance in accordance with industry standards and manufacturer recommendations.
